Key Responsibilities
1. Dispatch & Routing
- Plan and schedule deliveries, pickups, and shipments.
- Assign drivers/vehicles and optimize routes to save time and cost.
2. Logistics Management
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics for raw materials and finished goods.
- Track shipments in real-time and resolve delays or disruptions.
3. Communication
- Serve as the link between suppliers, transporters, warehouse staff, and customers.
- Coordinate with sales and production teams for seamless order fulfillment.
4. Documentation
- Prepare dispatch schedules, bills of lading, invoices, and delivery notes.
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company policies.
5. Monitoring & Reporting
- Maintain records of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and delivery performance.
- Report on logistics KPIs such as on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and turnaround time.
6. Problem Solving
- Handle emergencies like vehicle breakdowns, shipment delays, or route changes.
- Conduct inventory audits with PPC members.
Skills Required
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Knowledge of logistics, transportation, and warehouse management systems (WMS/TMS)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Quick problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP, or dispatch tracking software
- Understanding of compliance, safety, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- Diploma with relevant experience may also be considered
- 8–10 years of experience in logistics, transport coordination, or dispatch operations
